The Knot
WeddingTracker
Flash
The Knot, in an effort to unify their paid wedding webpage services, decided to rewrite Wedorama, an entirely Flash site into the rewritten WeddingTracker site. This project was written using ActionScript 3.0 and assets from Flash CS3. It supports features such as CSS declared colors and font sizes and dynamically embedded font files. All the page components are independent of the template designs allowing for ease of maintainance and updating. The site launched recently and can be seen at www.weddingtracker.com
Cisco
ServiceMesh Architecture
Flash, Illustrator
Cisco was looking for a way to add some interactive media to their product Adobe PDF files and asked for it in Flash. Using Cisco resource files and design guidelines I came up with the design and interaction for the ServiceMesh Architecture overview section of the PDF.
Hewlett Packard
HP Server Options
Flash, Photoshop, Sound Forge, XML
Hewlett Packard needed a fresh way to show their static PowerPoint presentations and wanted it in Flash. The Flash loads XML documents that list audio keyframe times for slide changes that are loaded from JPG files for each slide while the MP3 audio plays. The final section is a list of resources for the product and there were two versions of this presentation created, one for internal usage and the other for client showings.
Xerox
Xerox Digital Book Discovery CD
Flash, Premiere, Photoshop, Sound Forge, XML
The purpose of this project was to create a comprehensive training and multimedia introductory piece for Xerox using Macromedia Flash software. Content was created with extensive Actionscript and data loading from XML sources. Sorenson Squeeze was used to optimize video for use in Flash. The simulation utilized a combination of VMWare and Sun Solaris 9 to generate graphics that simulated the OS software interface
Dell
Dell EMC CX600 Network Storage Training
Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, Camtasia
For this project I designed the interface as well as the loading screens and training launch application in Macromedia Flash. I helped work on the conversion of digital photography to vector graphics using Adobe Illustrator and collected operating system interface graphics using Camtasia video. Camtasia Studio was used to create timeline videos for the training which were then broken down into individual elements for production.
American Express
The Knot Checklist
HTML, JavaScript
American Express wanted to sponsor a new feature for one of The Knots tools called the My Knot Checklist. They wanted to display post-it style notes that would be accompanied by American Express advertising for the campaign duration. The preview page includes live preview of the post-it note as the user types in the information for an Event or Appointment.
Nautica
Home Bridal
Flash, JavaScript, HTML
Nautica wanted a multi-step site setup to tell the customer which of their new linen lineups best fit their style and then prompt them to enter a sweepstakes. The main page had full page Flash setup that animated the Nautica ship logo across the screen before opening from the center to the height of the page. The Flash then called out to JavaScript to remove itself after the animation was completed enabling the user to interact with the site.
Estee Lauder
Beautiful
Flash
Estee Lauder had a site designed for their new Beautiful line of purfumes and needed to add the "Request a Sample" functionality to the site. I laid out and setup and submission form in Flash that connects with a .NET web service to track user sample requests. This form had input verification for all fields as per the clients request.
Kohl's
Sweepstakes Bingo
Flash
Kohl's runs a Sweepstakes Bingo twice a year and I update the items that are in each prize pool. I also redesigned how the board is laid out on the stage and how success checks are fired and tracked in the .NET web service.
Aveeno
Continuous Radiance
HTML, Photoshop
Aveeno wanted to create a site between banner advertisments and their main production site to showcase a new product. After the design team provided me with single image compositions that Aveeno approved I proceeded to break the image up into a usable HTML site that rendered correctly in all major browsers.
Martini and Rossi
Asti Party Planner and Sweepstakes
HTML, JavaScript
Martini and Rossi wanted to promote the Asti brand with party planning tools such as a drink selector based off of the style of wedding, quiz to pick you personal drink style, personalized printable bottle labels, invitations and a tool that calculated the number of bottles that you would need based of the size of your party. I worked with designers and .NET developers to write the HTML and JavaScript to bring this site together.
Days of our Lives
Go Green Sweepstakes
HTML
Days of our Lives had a simple one page sweepstakes to promote their television show and I really wanted to nail the layout of the form without using browser specific hacks or table based layouts. In the end I came up with a combination of HTML and CSS that is still being used as the basis for all sweepstakes entry forms for the company.
